MY STORY

I'm the oldest child and grandchild of my family who turned her childhood love for playing "school" into a fulfilling career as an educator.  In 2015, I graduated from Ashford University with a Masters of Arts Degree in Education and a minor of Family and Community Sciences, in hopes to teach and outreach into the community.  I dedicated 16 years to teaching before discovering my true passion — creating custom products for others.

Amidst the pandemic in 2020, I decided to take a leap of faith in starting my own business and founded Mermaid Kove, LLC. I design personalized items to help bring an idea to life -- from custom apparel, giveaways, designing logos and more... I help showcase my clients' brands through thoughtful design. Additionally, I help small business owners with creating and implementing marketing strategies to enhance their brand visibility.

WHEN I'M NOT IN THE OFFICE

I LOVE to be one with nature, so you could find me at the beach, camping, hiking, or anything that has to do with the outdoors (anywhere with water is a plus!).  As a working mom of four, I share in the motherhood challenge of balancing family time and running my business.  It's not easy, but I'm grateful to have a support system that gives me the opportunity to pursue my dreams.
